still in the process of adjusting to the new environment & lifestyle-
waking up at 6am and getting 5-6 hrs of sleep each day;
meeting the expectations of a full fledge teacher (SPA, CCA, reading up on bio content,trainings & workshops, admin work etc...);
making time for xun;
always making appointment with God the first priority everyday (very difficult and still trying);
coping with the demands of a cell leader;
to be always on the go to reach out to any new friends/ old friends that come along in my life;
studying the book of Revealation.
and still trying to find time to:
train for marathon;
go out with my parents and friends
shop for nice clothes?(ha..sounds so bimbotic)
just sitting still and let the peace of God reigns.
and the list goes on....
seriously, i felt weighed down and dealings with people didn't make things any better. currently, i've a case of a retained student who's giving me problem in class. perhaps jc isn't a good place of stay for beginning teacher especially when everyone in the school thinks that u look no different from a student. students treat u like a friend and the boundary between teacher and student is blurred or even breached. haiz.
let's talk about happier things. gross students are not worth mentioning too much in my private space.
attended dlt on tue and we did a study on Revealation 2-3. it was so insightful and never did i realise before whatever the teacher said. i was rested and blessed by just hearing the Word! no wonder John in the first chapter of the book wrote, " Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take it to heart what is written in it, because the time is near" (1:3), under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
the other thing i learnt was the relavence of what doug wrote in his purpose driven youth ministry book. i rem in one of the chapters, he mentioned that we can always make time for our youth by incooperating them into our schedule. it made me realise that i could have spent the time before class with violet and even taking the exam together with her can help to kill two birds with one stone. besides, xun is taking the class together. so all in all, dlt has become such a blessing because i get to spend time people and most importantly studying the word of God!
managed to catch pirates of the carribean on wed but it was kinda rush. much to my disappointment, the show was long (lasting 150min) and borrrriiiiiiingggggg. definately not as good as the first one and to think there's a part 3 coming up.
thurs was nie convocation. it was a nice one day off from school, just that i had to do work later in the night. shushang and i, again played the role of scavenger when others were busy taking photographs. well, they had really nice pastries and the 2 of us being alike in the same soft spot, gorged ourselves with choc elcaire, apple crumble, cheesecake and all sorts of nice food within reach.
i'll really miss shushang and the time we spent talking and the friendship that was forged over the past one year. of course there are the rest whom i've always enjoyed the company of: sherlyn, joanna & angela. without them, nie life would be square and bland. peony, hsing dee, cindy and many others from the bio and math class who are always nice to hang around with. not forgetting prudence and yanling from gesl. shuhui, ziyun, wendy and more from practicum.
looking back, i realised the one year in nie had been well spent and i couldn't asked for more. although there were times where assignments were packed to the brim, the friendship forged over time was so so valuable and if i would to choose again, i will still stick to the same decision and never trade this one year for anything else.

chio bu with wonderful personality and intelligence. *while stock last*
(pic was taken quite some time back when we met for a drink)
i thank God for peixuan and janice who's there in time to take over the outreach program on sat 29th july and that they are both so accepting and helpful. extended the invitation to my practicum kids and it seems that they are quite willing to go. so timely that i've quite a good rapport with them and now that i'm not their teacher, i can invite them without much worry.
seems like wedding bell is ringing. so many people around me are talking about buying flat, renovation, wedding dinner, photo shots etc etc.. being around with them, i've already learnt what to look into. a quick count reveals 3 friends and 2 colleuages getting married end of this yr or next. scary...
