Presenting the MOST expensive tea time ever...

Met up with Angela & Shushang today and we had a terrific time catching up! Spent a whole 3+ hours in this nice, victorian style cafe at esplanade...

The decor totally captured me. So exqusite and pretty..

Angela looked so compatible with the backdrop.. poised and pretty!

The surroundings made us feel like royalty... Suddenly we were transformed into dainty, elegant ladies. *pukez* ha..

After admiring the decors and examining the seemingly hard to read menu, the waitress reccomended us this special cake melt for the day. Apparently, it must be booked 3 days in advanced but they actually had some for today. She described the cake to be partially baked and because of that the fillings would oozed out upon biting... Partly due to novelty and also 'cos the waitress made the cake sounded so good with her polished English, all of us decided to order one each. But strangely, the price wasn't indicated on the menu..

After much waiting... the first cake melt arrived! Our eagerness to try the mango cheesecake caused us to forget to take a snapshot before we tucked in, therefore, there is a missing chunk. ha..

Then came the chocolate cheesecake...

And finally, the durain cheesecake!~

Don't they look yummy? They tasted quite nice but we almost fainted when the bill came.. Little did we expect 3 drinks and 3 slices of cakes to cost so much!

The total bill came up close to 96 bucks! Good grief.. I can buy loads of cheesecakes and durains with that loh...

So, moral of the story- always check the price before purchase.
