A cocoa booster sunday
24 June 2007

Last day of the hol... and was filled with a little bluez. Original plan of having LJS breakfast was cancelled, same goes for the tanning and swimming in my new outfit due to the uncalled dull pain in my back again.

In the end, we ended up having a chocolate feast. First it was The Chocolate Factory @ mhd sultan to satisfy my craving for a delicious cake. It was a tough choice as to which cake to choose cos they all looked simply great! Chose the crispy chocolate tart in the end, and it proved to be an excellant choice! A crispy crust, layered with hazelnut praline, crisp chocolate flakes, rich chocolate ganache and a dark, glossy chocolate glaze on top at only $6.50 a slice! It proved to be far superior than the lousy hard caramel choc cake i had at GJ the other day which still made me sore till now. ha..

Our chocolate feast didn't end here. Next was cafe iguana where it's my third visit for these two months. (first with bee, then with NIE dearies and now with bee again) Had half a chicken, tortilla chips, house pour magarita (blueberry for me, and pink guava for bee) and yet another slice of piping hot chocolate chile cake topped with homemade vanilla icecream!!! yum yum!

That's how we ended the last day of our holz lazing and pigging around. To store up energy for the upcoming term...

Talking about the term restarting, i've lost count of the number of people asking me if i will go escort bee from school in case he gets devoured by the girls. funny... it'll be interesting to hear stories of how girls go after him again. ha..

Spent the last bit of the holz rescuing myself from guilt.. Managed to clock quite some distance in the last week. A total of 50km was ran over three days- 12km, 18km and 20km on monday, tuesday and saturday respectively.

We did interval training on thursday, which was supposed to help in improving aerobic system and therein cutting down run timing. Had always detested interval because it's something i'm just not used to. Taking 13min for 2.4km as a guide, i had to run 1 lap of 400m in 2min10sec, and then rest for 1 min to recover. Repeated this for 9 more times, clocking 4km for the day. Actually, having done which, it's really nothing afterall. It's just that resistance to get out of my comfort zone of just doing long run.

Many running events coming up in preparation for the BIG day - marathon on 2 dec!

8 July- sacuony passion run at ECP (10km)

Aug - army half marathon (21km)

9 Sept- SHAPE run (10km)

The latest one is the SHAPE run which i've managed to get quite a couple of friends to go together. It'll surely be fun, whether u walk or run~

Still waiting to sign up for the half marathon in aug and wondering if i shd still join the great eastern run in oct...
