CHER day

had a pleasant surprise fr my civics class on thurs

it's a love hate relationship with this class...

difficult yet lovable at times

having early presents would only imply their absence on today's teacher's day celebration

and true enough, the whole class didn't turn up today!

first time i saw such "unity" amongst them

we took a photo straight after lec on thurs as they revealed to me their self-declared day off on fri. so here they are:


back to the nice surprise,
the design of the big card is that of a DNA gel
with all their names on it
i thought that was highly innovative!!
at least they rem what i taught

i didn't come up with that quote

it was something that caught my eyes during AHM which i thought was useful to share with them about.
some characters in this class made teaching difficult

however there are a few who are appreciative and ever willing to learn

i guess it's people like these that makes this career so special

during times when they pushed me to my limit, i wished they could quickly complete their 'A's and i get a new batch of students to work with next year.

unexpectedly, as i was having the last lesson with them and while chatting with them, i felt a lump in my throat

i realised i do love them

and i very much had to control my emotions to prevent any tears from welling up

never in my wildest imagination that i would react in such a manner

today's celebration concert was kind of a flop

J2's were mostly not around

decided to catch a snap shot of the flowers

since i don't have the habit of drying them for storage

catch them in their pretty state before they rot and i dump them into the bin.
