DAY THREE (23 Dec 2007) - Hongkong island

this was the resturaunt where we tasted the lousiest food when we were in HK. not worth mentioning and no photo required. i think i barely touched my food.

as we missed out the avenue of stars the day before, we made our way there after breakfast. To make the travelling smoother, we took a ferry to Hongkong island thereafter. btw, neither did we arrange to bring nor wear similar attire for the day. call it telepathy?

the feeling is akin to taking a ferry from harbour front to sentosa when we were on our way to hongkong island.

after 10 minutes, we arrived at Hongkong island. it was so well connected to the city that it didn't appear to be like an island at all. our first stop was H&M at queens road central. many claimed that they love the store and it was something like topshop, except that the prices are lower. my conclusion? i don't see a single truth in their statement! nothing to buy again..

foodie craze task number one on HK island accomplished- found the best egg tart in HK as recommended. tai cheong egg tart located at lyndhurst terrace. then it was off to have the best roast goose at yung kee in wellington street central. seriously there was no need for advertising. the long queue speaks volume. we took a queue number which required us to wait for 45 minutes!

we decided to roam around the area and checked out lan kwai fong. that's where all the pubs are and at that hour, it was like a ghost town.

our first decent meal of the day comprising of fish congee,

quarter of roast goose which was superb(cost HK120, equivalent to SG$24)

and siew mai

after the sumptous lunch, we took the train to causeway bay where times square and sogo were located. more walking around except this time, i almost went mad. people were everywhere, squashed back to front, long queues everywhere and there were even long queue to take the lifts.
decided to end the agony of squeezing with people early by looking for yee shun milk company near sogo. they serve excellant milk pudding.

that's my ginger milk pudding. ginger makes the pudding taste even smoother.. compared that to bee's original double cream pudding.

fustrated with aimless walking around, we headed for the next destination, The Peak. we took a tram up and gave the sky terrace viewing a miss simply because it was too foggy that night.

the boyish man misses his football game.

then it was fishball and beefball noodles back in mongkok.
