98.8% passes, 28% A, 81.7% A-C

a record high according to senior colleague

many instances when i had to look away from the crowd of students to prevent uncontrollable outburst of tears...

i was well armed with the advice for those who didn't do well and required counselling. i was composed, very in fact. however, when it came to those who did unexpectably well and burst out crying, i almost cried along with them... the ultimate was when they came forward crying and thanking me.. the constriction in my throat and those tears were on the edge of my eyes were killing me. nevertheless i could still withhold them till i took the bus to clementi after the whole event.

all it took was "thank you mdm" from D; P's non-stop "thank you"; QX's extreme emotion and coming up to say how grateful she was; and phonecalls from RF & F to express her heartfelt thanks.

tears just rolled down and i was glad that the bus was pretty much empty.

this civics class,

started with strained relationship and many problematic cases - theft, depression, complaint cases and direct confrontation...

then it was disciplining them and teaching them real life lessons

still rem spending so much time teaching them the Application syllabus till they had to make it into a card for me on teacher's day

and finally to the time and energy zapping consultation, the last lap before their A levels.

how many more report cards do i have to receive?
