after a week of "fire fighting"...
i for once truely felt zapped off energy and come to realise many things

last friday, i was close to tears while burying myself in my cubicle
fustrated and anxious
fustrated because i was truely disgusted by a colleague's irresponsibility and how i had to cover all his backlog. that also nearly got the whole team into deep trouble...
and anxious due to the very last minute changes which could mean more trouble.

event eventually pulled through on saturday evening and i wonder why bother having events like this to tax us? not as if we aren't working hard enough.

nevertheless, i was very glad that i know people like peishi, liwen and feng jing who lend their help while i was in distress. so touched.

just when i thought things are back to normal on a bright monday morning, and time to get back to making up classes, new tasks were thrown into my lap again! *help!*

first was to host a group of trainers from vietnam (and these are people training principals!) which was succesfully bounced off for me by my head. so to make up for it, i had to anchor another event on fri.

seems like there's a never ending list of 'to-do's

esther came over to my cubicle to give me a thrashing today
she felt that the new comers are too stupid because we are setting trend of being overtasked and getting ourselves killed in the process.

i don't totally disagree with her but certain things are just beyond us.

one can always earn him/herself with a shield of anyhow doing a task and getting labelled as unreliable. from then on, no one else will dare to task this person anymore and the person cannot be blamed for not trying because after all, he/she did something, just that it was sub-standard.

do i want to be get an invisible shield?

i realised i might have missed out the main point if i ever did that. what if my students don't appreciate, colleagues don't empathsize, management don't reward, my boyfriend and family are not supporting etc.. or even the world may frown at my effort?

above all, do all things in the spirit of excellance and to do it for the Lord.

i guess that makes all problems small and insignificant once again :)
