had a wonderful day out with bee today
it's a rare chance that we gotta date since the preparation of our wedding. today was quite different because we are dating on a weekday! heh. it unusual that he gets to leave before 4pm and hence we could get to eat and shop around.
since it was early, we decided to head for the east this time.
first was off to east coast park and only to our great disappointment to find the market closed for upgrading. we then made our way to marine parade. the "president teh tarik" was a consolation n we tucked into the hawker fare of satay and cai1 fan4.
we then walk around a little in the neigbourhood and ended up buying 7 cds in one shot (all original but only cost around $10 each) i also got an ethnic long colourful skirt in one of those little stalls.
as usual, day in the east wouldn't be complete without ice cream chef at east coast road. bee was craving for mrs smith (green apple & cinnamon ice cream) when he actually detests cinnamon big time. how strange.
to our delight, it was only 7pm and so, we decided to head for ikea to get some furniture and accessories. "since we drove, might as well", we thought. we got a full length mirror, dresser and a chest of drawers. we had a critical thinking session on how to stuff all these items into car after we bought them.
