updates

haven't been blogging for quite a while cos each day just passes by so quickly! one week seems to zoom pass and now, i've been married for more than a month.

the only tiring phase for me must be the week when xun was hospitalized for kidney infection. it was a long 5 days hospital stay. it was draining to travel to and fro each day. the worst was being sleep deficit as i jumped up too early. not sure if it's because i was all alone at home that every little sound seems to be amplified and therefore i jumped up or i was just being stressed up.

other than that, everything else is great! the adaption part is not that difficult so long as both parties are willing to compromise... the amt of household chores is multiplied by a factor of two which is manageable since i had been doing laundry and dishes at my parents' place. the only difference is that i'm the chef now! HAHA. cooking, something which i absolutely enjoy! :) esp cooking for my hubby

however, he set a quota of cooking 3 times a week only since he didn't wanna turn me into a huang2 lian3 po2.

it's quite funny how he can be so into some of the dishes. for example, just last week, i made bacon lemony grilled chicken. it's a whole chicken stuffed with wholesome goodness of bacon and butter. the lemon gave the dish a tangy taste which really was surprisingly nice. he was talking about the chicken the whole evening and even managed to squeeze in a last question, " how did u manage to stuff the bacon into the chicken skin?" just before he fell asleep.

baking has become a weekly hobby. first was pizza + crust, then the second week, new york cheesecake. for the third week i made a chocolate cake meant for arlene's birthday and only later to realise i didn't hv a box big enough to bring it to her! so i could only bring a slice in one of those limited containers i had on sunday. so glad that she liked it and auntie kwee hoon was keen to have the recipe. the rest of the cake went to my hubby and his sis, of course. this week's pastry is bread pudding which i like! it's a humble old english dish, simple yet yummy. ok, my tummy's gaining quite abit of mass from all these sugars, flour, butter and eggs. >_<
