weekend worth of gags and rest

Finally finally finally!!!

The term has almost come to a close and I'm beginning to smell the Christmasy air (if there's such a thing).

Hubby was away for reservist in the earlier part of the week, so I had some free time on a Thurs afternoon to do this-

Well, I'm highly satisfied with the lash extension because even MAC makeup counter salesgirl was tricked, thinking that it was natural. She was so envious till I told her, "No lah, just pulling your leg, it's fake one."

These lashes are incredible. They can actually withstand the strong sea breeze and sweat while i jog at east coast. Given that i'm so clumsy, I'm really facinated at the type of glue the salon used to make these lashes stay in place. To sum up, 5 out of 5 stars and thumbs up for these extensions. In fact, I'm giving it some thought as to get the package deal or not.

On Friday, everyone around was walking on sunshine cos it's the last formal day of school. heh. To spice things up, we had our annual dinner and dance that evening. Atmosphere was light and highly entertaining. I had such a good time laughing away at all the programmes.

Some snapshots of the evening-

The hunk-

Bee had reservist up till Sat and when he got back, it was half a day gone. That didn't dampen our mood to get good food that day, and we set off for Ion to try the katsu don at Ginza Bairin, which according to HL is highly value for money . Ginza Bairin is a Tokyo Ginza-based specialty Tonkatsu (breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet) restaurant offering a variety of Signature dishes that have been kept true for three generations. For the price of $13++, you can get a decent katsu set with no compromise on the taste factor. I personally think that the quality of katsu is comparable to that of tampopo.

super long weekend! :)

Saturday was a luxourious day, a FULL day to ourselves at last, with no more scurrying around! There was also no need to rush through household chores as there was ample time.

We started with a long run in the morning, approximating 21km where we stopped after kallang stadium. Rewarded ourselves with a good breakfast of loh mee at Old Airport Rd. Such good food usually invite supporters, which was evident in the queue good enough to span the length of the market.

Then it was rocking our way back home on good old bus no. 30 where we read papers, chat and dozed off, resulting in stiff neck at the end of the ride.

Dinner was at outback, the reliable place where hubby seek his protein loaded comfort food. the cheese fries are sooo yummy though calories laiden. He commented that my portion of chicken tenders were akin to kfc. This made me felt that the treat to hibiki was far more value for money, given both treats amount to be the same.

Please bear with me as I'm still very intrigued with my new hair. hehe

THE comfort food for him

We also checked out gucci and LV shop at orchard. It's amazing to see women streaming out of the shop carrying big shopping bags with an almost visible victorious grin.

For me, my only loot of the day was an expensive miracle weapon over the counter before heading home. hope it works!

new hair

It was an intensive 4+ hrs of hair treatment today. Immediately after school, I flew down in cab to the salon, in an attempt not to waste a single second. Though waste of resource, it has to be done as there won't be any spare time to do so in the next few days.
So, the operation began with a perm, then colour and finally protein intensive treatment which landed a bill good as a bomb.

LG paid for all, commenting that the hair treat was substitute since he doesn't know how to choose an LV bag for me :S

I wasn't a freeloader, in return it was a treat for him at hibiki, s'pore flyer. ala-carte buffet style, just right for him given the endless flow of sashimi.
ta-da! the new hairdo :)

favourite as always
