unpredictable life

It was a short day for both of us and we were intending to celebrate Xun's cross country team achievement. Being a one man show this year, his school c division boys managed to cling a 5th position. It was remarkable as there was never such a record in his school history.

Just right after he picked me from school, at the slip road junction, a cyclist dashed into our path at the pesdestrain crossing leaving him insufficient time to react. What makes the matter worse was that the cyclist was an old man. The old man was immediately knocked off his bicycle. All the 3 of us were in a shock when we rushed out of the car. Thankfully there was an onlooker who rendered help. The whole process of waiting for ambulance, TP and lauching a report took up the rest of the evening.
Ironically, xun's VP called him shortly after the whole mess was cleared. His purpose of calling was to inform and congratulate xun on his promotion.

What a day- with the yo-yo's of ups and down.

bad day

a day worth of 2 meetings and consultations sandwiched in between, with no time for food at all which left me tired, hungry and cold... just when I thought I could leave school to grab a bite and join friends for bodyworks, this had to happen. argh. my bonus is gone!

Run for us, economical fuel for car

Nike Human Race- running with the rest of the world this morning didn't turn out good for me. The running route was very crowded and weather wasn't favourable. Worst still, I had cramps acting up in the second half of the run. So, it was within my expectations that I won't be able to go under 54min and did a horrid 56'45". On the other hand, Xun did a great job! Clocked an excellant timing of 49'09".

We joined the crowd at the shell promotion after the race. A promotion aiming to educate motorists about fuel economy. $1 per litre of fuel was surerly a good bait which was evident in the long queues of cars causing much traffic congestions everywhere with shell station. It was quite an experience as we could see how some fellow citizens actually tried to skip the wait and cut into the queue recklessly, which very much disgusts me. Fortunately, we were there in them morning and the wait was about 30minutes which was still acceptable.

new acquisitions

Another welcomed long weekend which just passed! :)
With a recommendation from GHK, we spent a substantial portion of an afternoon in queensway buying eyewear. Initially the trip was meant to be prescribing new specs to replace my old pair, we ended up getting 2 additional pairs of shades, one each.

New ride also arrived on Monday which happened to be off-in-lieu for schools. Yay!
