Today was a detailed scan at Mt Alvenia.
All the major organs such as heart, kidney, stomach, brain and umbilical cord are normal. Baby's gender was double confirmed. Well, boy :)
With the measured dimensions, gynae extrapolated to the known data of asian babies, mainly 3 graphs- small, average and large baby. I was kinda worried that Ean would turn out too small as everyone around kept saying my belly was too small for a 5 month-er. Well, he certainly surprised everyone. His head circumference, thigh, body length proportion all indicated that he is slightly bigger than average size.
cha- cha- cha! *dance around*
Gynae was surprised too. I think baby really ballooned quite a bit within this week. Probably it had to do with weight lost during the trip. Mommy and baby didn't quite enjoy pork and kimchi.
As for the blood test result, wo-la! Another good news. Doc said my blood level and cell count are good as compared to any normal pregnancy. Phew. I actually thought for a moment I might have high blood glucose level or gestational diabetes since baby is slightly big.
The milestone this week- lots of fluttering movement from little one and his measurement is a whopping 27cm!!!!!!!!! My tummy feels stretched especially after a full dinner and it is as if it could burst open any time.
Till the next checkup for more updates! :)
