grumbles

With the closure of a hectic term, I should be rejoicing. However, this time, I collapsed quite badly and in fact at a critical juncture where I had to oversee an event. I was holding on at the start of the week, hoping that the bug would only erupt fully at least after Thurs. I guess the cycle of viral replication ain't within my control. As such, I fell quite ill on Wed to the extent that I literally had to crawl out of bed on the morning itself. Doc would have given me 3 days MC if not for the fact that Fri is a public hol. Thanks bug for spoiling my long weekend and in turn, giving me those fever, headache, sore throat, running nose, endless coughing with phelm that's enough to choke me at times. AND backlogs to clear. To add on to the woes, Xun is leaving this Tue. I'd better get used to this as he'd be gone at the end of the month again.

Better be off to catch my sleep now. It will be wiser not to put myself to the test of battling the hunger pangs awake as I'm strictly not allowed to eat anything from now till tomorrow morning's blood test is over.
